After a couple of years of talking, dreaming and scheming we have finally left Melbourne in pursuit of a permaculture lifestyle in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Our plan is to buy a few acres and eventually build a sustainably designed house and set up a permaculture system. My husband is a builder and I am a latent, procratinated writer so I’ve decided to write down our experiences for whoever might be interested.
Ah well, I'm a writer... of self indulgent memoir, travel and for business. I love a good flick... From thought provoking art house to silly, crass humour. I get up every (well most) mornings and get stuck in to my daily yoga practice. I am honoured to be the mother of two pretty amazing little humans, and suffer tons of guilt wondering if I'm doing it right. I love to get dirt under my nails in the garden... I'm particularly in love with succulents for their otherworldly hardiness, crepe myrtles are my eye candy and gardenias smell so delicious I want to eat them. I also love to travel, but this year I feel more of a pull to stay put, which is new. View all posts by Leonie Orton
